A Summer Weekend in Moab, Utah

Moab, Utah, United States
3 Days

My friends and I drove up from Phoenix for an epic 3 day Moab adventure! Moab, Utah is not very close to any airports, so you really have to drive in! I recommend tagging this on to another destination like Zion National Park in Utah or Page, AZ. Moab really exceeded my expectations and now I consider it a must when traveling the southwest.
Day 1

Arrive at hotel! We stayed at the amazing Moab Springs Ranch and we could not recommend it enough. Amazing and spacious clean cabins, a private garden oasis and pool with hammocks, and a great little place to get coffee right on site.
Head to Arches National Park for a moderate sunset hike to the Delicate Arch viewpoint. The cooler evening temperatures make this hike more comfortable.
Day 2

Get an early breakfast in at the hotel (opens at 6AM). Coffee is free, but food costs $ (though not unreasonable!).
Spend your day exploring Canyonlands National Park. Start with the Island in the Sky district and hike to the Mesa Arch for stunning views.
Grab some lunch near Canyonlands
Return to Moab and treat yourself to a well-deserved dinner at Sunset Grill, which has an amazing sunset vista view. Keep in mind you can't just grab drinks here - they require you to get food as well or else everyone would just come for the sunset. Enjoy upscale dining with a focus on regional ingredients and flavors.
Day 3

You must catch sunrise back at Arches National Park! It is a must-see and the crowds are really died-down. Keep in mind you don't need a pass/reservation to get in the park before 7am. We recommend heading to THE WINDOWS trail area for the best views for sunset.
Don't leave without grabbing some souveniers from the super cute downtown of Moab, Utah
